Treat results as a planning estimate for comparing builds — not a guaranteed frame rate. Real FPS varies by map, scene, drivers and settings.
Why is my real FPS different from the estimate?
In-game FPS swings heavily with what’s on screen. Esports titles like CS2 can vary ±30% between benchmark maps and live matches, and background apps, RAM speed, thermals and game patches all shift results. The estimator models a typical scene at the chosen resolution and preset.
Does the FPS calculator include DLSS or FSR?
No — figures model native rendering with no DLSS/FSR upscaling or frame generation. Turning those on in-game will push real frame rates higher: often 40%+ with upscaling and 2–3× with frame generation in supported titles.
What does CPU-bound or GPU-bound mean?
Every game is limited by whichever part runs out of headroom first. GPU-bound means the graphics card sets your frame rate (common at 1440p/4K); CPU-bound means the processor does (common in esports at 1080p). The per-game tags and the system balance bar show which part limits you — so you can see whether a CPU or GPU upgrade would actually gain FPS before spending money. Unsure?
